The THSSB Program Rankings are based on playoff performance over the past five seasons: 2022–2026. Teams received points each year based on how far they advanced in the UIL softball playoffs.
The scoring rewards both consistent playoff success and deep postseason runs.
| Playoff Finish | Points |
|---|---|
| Lost in Bi-District | 5 |
| Lost in Area Round | 10 |
| Lost in Regional Quarterfinals | 18 |
| Lost in Regional Semifinals | 30 |
| Lost in Regional Final | 45 |
| Lost in State Semifinal | 65 |
| State Runner-Up | 90 |
| State Champion | 120 |
For the 2025 and 2026 seasons, UIL split most classifications into Division I and Division II. To keep each season weighted equally, teams in those split brackets received half points for 2025 and 2026.
For example, in 2025 and 2026:
| D1/D2 Finish | Points |
|---|---|
| State Champion | 60 |
| State Runner-Up | 45 |
| State Semifinalist | 32.5 |
| Regional Finalist | 22.5 |
| Regional Semifinalist | 15 |
The rankings are not based on regular-season records, polls, opinions, or roster projections. They are based strictly on cumulative UIL playoff results over the five-year period.
